Pascal LE NOTRE founded in 2011 the production company Foliascope SAS, and co-produced “Poppety in the fall” Special TV and cinema 26’ animated puppets HD and 35mm – (directed by Pierre-Luc Granjon) for France télévisions, Canal+/TPS, Carpediem (Canada). With the participation of CNC nouvelles technologies – Audience Award at the 2013 Stuttgart International Festival of Animated Films. Special Award at the 2014 Annecy International Festival of Animated Films. More than 20 selections in international festivals.
2011 “The banquet of the Concubine” short animated film – written and directed by Heifang Wei (Arte, Canal+ / National Film Board – Canada coproduction) and the participation of Centrimages and the Rhône Alpes region. – JURY PRIZE, Montreal International Film Festival, Canada 2012 – DIPLOMA, over thirty selections in international festivals.
2011 “The Inn” short 20’ animated film – development and production – director : Izu Troin. based on the book by Maupassant “the Inn” – Golden Goats Award (International Jury), 2012 Ale Kino Festival in Poznan, Poland , 10 selections in international festivals.
Continuing its development of new productions, Foliascope opened a new studio in Beaumont-lès-Valence with a stop motion film set and larger 2-D production capacity.
2012- Development of ” Tepulpaï et le soleil d’or (“ Pachamama ?”) animated feature film directed by Juan Antin, with the participation du CNC, Canal+, Gebeka and the Rhône Alpes region.
2012 “Vigia” by Marcel Barelli short animated film by Nadasdy films (Switzerland) – special mention at Locarno 2013 and 12 selections in international film festivals.
2013- “Polo” TV series, 52x 6’ based on the book by Régis Faller with Bayard audiovisuel and la Fabrique d’images (Luxembourg).
Foliascope used the capacities of its new studio and seven large film sets for the trailer of The Army of Rabbits, a feature film in cartoon movie format.
Foliascope directs the “Les pièces jaunes du petit Nicolas” TV commercial for the “pièces jaunes” (small change) foundation, prefiguring the development of the Le Petit Nicolas feature film.
Les Contes Modernes and the director Mats Grorud entrusted the whole of the stop motion, computer 2-D layout and compositing to Foliascope. An all-round service which can only be provided inside a fully equipped single studio.
Foliascope is continuing to develop the “Le petit Nicolas, Parfum d’enfance” feature film, which is a tribute to René Goscinny and Jean Jacques Sempé. (An On animation studios / Bidibul productions coproduction).
And numerous other projects, including “Capacocha”, a short animated film by Camille Dufayet and Marie Gautier, “the Forest of wolves” an animated feature film directed by Pierre-Luc Granjon, and also stop motion, traditional animation and computer animation services.
After an exciting career Pascal LE NOTRE transferred his business to 2 partners so that the excellent work which began over 30 years ago can continue.
